One seriously fun weekend

The kids and I went to the Liberty Fall Festival on Friday and it was one of those perfect afternoons. The weather was perfect, the kids were happy, the stars were aligned. We even bought a pumpkin (and a huge zucchini and a shaved ice). I love those perfect days and wish I could force them to happen more often.

To top off the weekend, Bailey was in the parade and we went to the Shatto dairy farm. I have a lot to document about the parade. Mostly because Bailey is 3 going on 13. She is one of the youngest in the dance group and she would walk up to the older girls standing in a circle and just join like she was their next best friend. We got settled on the float and she didn't want to sit by me, she wanted to sit by the other girls. She ACTUALLY asked me to move and go sit on the other side. I have to say I was a little crushed inside. I love seeing this confidence in her, but I have to admit I liked it when she would want me to hold her or come hold my hand. By the end of the parade she had asked to sit on my lap, so all was well. Except the fact that my baby is not so much a baby anymore. These little milestones can be so hard sometimes.

Baby bro is achieving milestones of his own too. Just today he took a little step on his own for the first time. And he has the big birthday this week. I really don't understand how a year can pass so quickly. Just a little reminder to me to slow down and enjoy my babies before they grow up too fast.

Shatto stache
I had sympathy for this cow. I have felt how she looks several times.
This little guy's name is Bolt and he was not even a month old.

Bailey liked the kitties much more than the cows.
Yep, cutest little guy in the world. (Ryan's not too bad either).
